Story Behind the Art:
This remarkable one of a kind rug was crafted using remnants of antique hand-knotted wool rugs, and was made by weavers in Lahore, Pakistan. The remnants can come from torn or damaged pieces of Persian Antique rugs that could no longer be used as one whole rug, so they are put together as a patchwork rug to preserve the good parts of these rugs. These remnants come from the rug weaving villages of Iran. Inconsistencies in the rug and its design are the nature of this textile.
The handcrafted touch of artisan skill creates variations in color, size and design. If buying two of the same item, slight differences should be expected. Note: Color discrepancies may occur between this product and your computer screen.
Tip: We recommend the use of a non-skid pad to keep the rug in place on smooth surfaces.
All rug sizes are approximate. Due to the difference of monitor colors, some rug colors may vary slightly. We try to represent all rug colors accurately. Please refer to the text above for a description of the colors shown in the photo.
